David Bauman
Age 74
This is David Bauman a military child that was born in Waco Texas. He lost his job years ago and he lost his house due to forclosure. He wants to keep his dog by his side which makes it difficult for him because he cannot stay at the shelters unless he puts his dog in the kennels.
Louis Hernandez
Age 53
Originally from San Antonio, he has been on the streets since about 2019. He is Bipolar and has depression and lack of motivation and he wonders why he wakes up every day.

Moved here from Mexico about 30 years ago, he and his wife can’t work so he comes downtown on the weekends to get some food.
Travis
Age 45
Moved here from West Virginia years ago with his wife and children. He has been on the Streets for over a year and about 6 months ago he was diagnosed with Diabetes which is causing him a lot of pain.

Age 63
An Aztec Indian from Casa Grande Arizona. Lost his wife and home in a house fire. Has been on and off the streets for over a year, but recently on the streets for about 3 months after a mixup at the shelter.

Spent the little money she had years ago to come into the city for a city job that she thought she was going to be selected for, however she was not and that left her without a plan B, and without a way to get back on her feet.

Moved here from Kentucky over 3 years ago taking up an invitation from her niece , who died from heroin, and her sister who also died from heroin. Her brother who lived here also died from heroin, and now she is all alone. She said the only way she gets by with all the evil around is through prayer, but she doesn’t know any other way to survive but on the streets.

This is Jay who says he has been living here in San Antonio without a place to call home for about 15 years. He says he has been dealt a bad hand in life, but he would like to earn a living and contribute to society. He said that he would pick up litter in exchange or do some kind of other work in exchange for some compensation.
