W Houston Street Fest & Youth Revival Paint Jam 1.0

We are trying to do something good to add value to the neighborhood, so we are excited to announce a community initiative to enhance our neighborhood by painting vibrant murals on the Expressway Support columns under I-35 and W Houston Street! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative art fest event in a prominent downtown location that will be celebrated for years to come.

What to Expect:
• Street Festival: Enjoy a free, family-friendly atmosphere with a bounce house, face painting, crafts, food and art / craft vendors, live music, and classic cars throughout the day.

• Community Engagement: Be part of something special that adds value to our neighborhood and brings people together.  (for children, families, and individuals)

We’d love for you to join us and invite your friends and family to partake in this joyous and memorable  celebration of art and community spirit!

Event Date:
October 19th 2024 Time: 9am to 4pm

Event Location:
704 W Houston Street

It is going to be a great time with an opportunity to meet and greet the artist and enjoy vendors, food trucks, music and entertainment and some cool cars!

With much thanks to our Sponsors and Partners!

With additional thanks for help in some way

Still in Progress!

From what has been told, the West Side of I 35/10 has been an historically overlooked place where people who live there in certain areas have become somewhat unable on their own to revitalize the neighborhood and make it a better and safer place to live. We need to let it be known of the help and support that it needs. We need to work together with the surrounding communities and help out where possible. We need to do what we can to make this a better and safer place for everyone. We need to do what we can to help those who really need our help.

There is a group of artists “The Westside Pillars” that are ready to lift up the west side!

Please help support these artists by either making a sponsorship for one or part of one of the pillars being painted or make a general donation to the overall project that will get distributed to the artists.

Meet, and greet, the artists, have fun and show support, and be part of an upcoming Community Revival Project on the West Side of Downtown!
